General Information about the Seminar:

An online seminar will be held on 25 October, in the framework of the EYSET project. By participating in this seminar, in addition to learning about social entrepreneurship together with young people from Europe and the Western Balkans, you can win a trip to Brussels at the end of November.

The aim of this 3-hour online seminar is to support young people in creating sustainable, smart and accessible products, services and processes in the tourism value chain by exploiting social entrepreneurship through the development of business plan ideas.

In this seminar:

• You will learn basic concepts about what you need to become a social entrepreneur (main concepts, required skills and the creation of the business plan).
• You will elaborate a simple business plan to present your business idea or project. If you wish, at the end of the project you can submit your plan to a competition and compete for the prize of a trip to Brussels.

• We are looking for young people between 18 and 35 years old who want to learn about the subject, regardless of whether or not they have a previous business/project idea.

The maximum number of participants for the country is 4, therefore the first come first served principle will be applied among the registered applicants.  You can apply either as an individual or as a group, but only one representative from the group can attend the online seminar.

WHAT IS AFTER THE SEMINAR?  

PRIZE

At the end of the seminar, participants will be able to submit their business plan to an online competition for a trip to Brussels for the four best projects. They will submit a short video (length 60 to 90 seconds, in English or your local language but with English subtitles) presenting their social business model idea (pitching your idea). They can use all they want to support your presentation. You can access some suggestions here.

The best four projects (winners of the competition) will be awarded with a trip to Brussels, where they will have the opportunity to present their ideas to relevant stakeholders and participate in the conference.

Phases of the Seminar:

Preparation Phase for the participants (12 to 24 October): we will send material to the selected participants to review and prepare them for the seminar.

The seminar: a three-hour seminar on the 25^th of October, from 10:30 to 13:30 CET.

Follow-up (optional): For those who want to ask questions about their business plan, a follow-up phase is scheduled from 26 to 27 October.

Deadline for submitting your videos and business plan to the competition: 30 and 31 October 2023.

Start of the voting period (competition): 1 to 8 November.

Results of the competition: 10 November

Travel Logistics (if you are one of the winners): 11- 17 November.
